The trick to using this camera is going to be getting it to focus. It does not have auto focus and may have a hard time focusing on stars. You may try focusing on the Moon when it is visible, and then locking the focus. To lock focus on the moon, press the photo button half way down while pointing at the moon.

  • SHOOTING MENU 2
    • INTERVAL TIMER SHOOTING
      • Set interval to lowest, zero if possible
      • Start waiting time 10 seconds
      • Select number of times as 10 or more
      • If trying to do star trails set it to infinite and let it go all night
  • SHOOTING MENU 3
    • INTELLIGENT DIGITAL ZOOM
      • Off
  • Turn off flash
    • On front of camera select flash icon
      • Choose SUPPRESSED FLASH
  • IS MODE
    • OFF
